This 1870's Greek Revival house has 11 rooms, 5 bathrooms, and 2 hallways that run the length of the house, both upstairs and downstairs. There are four large rooms downstairs, each approximately 22 x 22, and two restrooms. Upstairs there are two equally large rooms, two smaller bedrooms, an office, and a furnished bedroom. The small rooms contain a dresser with mirror and a standing mirror and are ideal dressing rooms for the bride and bridal party.
The home is surrounded on three sides by a grand promenade with wrought iron banisters. Triple hung windows allow access from the inside rooms directly onto the veranda on both floors.
The carved mahogany staircase provides an elegant entrance for the bride either into the parlor, with its grand piano (seats 30-40 when opened to the dining room), or you might want to open the leaded glass doors to a small ceremony on the veranda or in the gardens.
There are several options for both a festive rehearsal dinner and a beautiful reception. The Mansion will accommodate up to 160 for a seated dinner (approximately 60 downstairs and 100 upstairs) or 200 for a buffet. The stair landing is a great place for a quartet, small band or dj for music and dancing. If you are planning a larger affair, you may set up a tent in the gardens.
