The Heritage Society of Washington County

The Heritage Society of Washington County is dedicated to the preservation of historical buildings and artifacts and to furthering interest and education in Washington County... and having fun doing so! Through historical home tours, antique and trunk shows, parties, a fabulous Gala for members and friends, and the Heritage Belle Program for high school girls, the Heritage Society offers a glimpse into the past and memories of the present for future generations to enjoy for years to come.

The Heritage Belles

The Heritage Belle program began in 1973 and was expanded in 1993 to promote knowledge and appreciation of history and heritage through education and service. Membership is open to all high school girls in Washington County. Activities include serving as docents, decorating for seasonal events, and serving at Society functions. The Belle year runs concurrent with the school year beginning in September.
